In February of 2008 a brand new Mardi Gras tradition was introduced to the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the introduction of the First Annual Bed Race.
The event, presented by the Demp Group, consisted of almost thirty companies from all over the coast competing against each other in a variety of different categories. Beds decorated with themes consisting of everything from traditional Mardi Gras garb to Batman and Robin, the 2008 race was a plethora of color and excitement. Aside from the race itself participants also competed for prizes in the most creative bed, ugliest bed, people’s choice, and fastest times categories. The top prizes for first, second and third places went to Landon Homes, The Biloxi Fire Department and First American Printing.  With all proceeds benefiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast chapter of the Salvation Army, the first annual bed race was a raging success. Come and join us for the 2nd Annual Bed Race on February 21st 2009  and help us make this year’s race an even bigger success.  Good fun for a good cause.  The Mardi Gras Bed Race will be held in D'Iberville, MS on the Back Bay.
